For welding high sulfur bearing free machining steels, medium carbon steels, 0.5 Mo steels and high temperature resistant steels. For pipelines and pressure vessels with operating temperatures of about 500°C. It will also find applications for the repair of medium strength steel castings.
TIGFIL 90S-G is a low alloy steel solid wire for GTAW welding. It has excellent arc stability, low spatter, yielding a flat bead. Weld deposit are of X-ray quality and free from porosity and welds even over poor cleaned base metals, have moderately high strength with adequate low temperature toughness. It exhibits excellent out of position characteristics. A pre-heat and interpass temperature of not less than 150?C is required during welding. Recommended with Ar/CO2 mix shielding gas.
